  • >Classroom Blues!!!

    >QAM class going on. Prof. Shukla is on with “correction factor”, etc random, arbit. Want to get out of the class for a quick siesta, but to no avail. I don’t want a grade drop!!
What the heck? Why don’t I sleep in the class? Look at the S brothers, right there in the first bench; V on the other side or the quintessential A who I don’t think was awake in any class (Except probably that FM class where the Prof. had brought his beautiful secretary for CP marking).
Y there is tryin hard to be awake.Oh! Now he has actually rested his hand on (Nah! Not where you thinkin. Perverted. ) the desk.
Now moving to my left, S has moved from her assigned seat. The prof. has already warned her not to disturb others sleep by the murmurs (Noise actually!). Thankful to her, as she is the real reason I am in class today.
Nah! No infatuation, I rather sleep, but thanks to her wakeup call and threats of a grade drop and prospects of being her junior, I had to drag myself till here on a cup of tea (Sans Brush of course) and two drags of smoke. So much for survival!!

    One more day!!

“Number of positives should be somewhere around half!!” Could not really make anything out of it, but, who cares?? Slept at 6 in the morning and thanks to S’s call, woke up at 9:39 for the 9:40 call. (I am sure she’s gonna be a great JIT specialist)
Got the quiz papers. Scored a dismal 4/10. Wait!! This is 600% increase from the pathetic 2/30 I scored in Mid exams.Good going bharat, but at this base, the passing mark would come only the next year.

The prof just sent three guys out of the class. They dared to indulge in some other activity (Creation of noise) when they were required to sleep like the rest of the class. A, sitting beside them is still following the norm or rather diktat religiously. Sometimes, I find these classes so much similar to kindergarten classes, where all of us were required to go to sleep in unison and anybody not adhering to it( Arrey! Dad also prescribes the same sleep at home. Home much will I sleep?) is punished.( was in a boys kindergarden so no better incentive than sleeping. Sob! Sob!)

Prof. : “Can I cover this before that?”
Students: “ You can’t.. it has to be inner outwards.. We don’t want to be supermen!!”
    Bad Joke. *&^&%$^

  • >What else??…

    >have marketing exam in another hour, and here after getting exhausted in the research, here i am with a post.

Recently got this mail. Quite funny, but actually true.
    Unusual but thoughful.
Tell me how many of us are actually affected by this AUR BATAO syndrome?? Guess we all r suffering from it.Conversation between any two professionals, who are also Friends, these days do turn out to be
    “Hello”
    “Hi”
    “hey how r u???”
    ” fine!!! What about u???”
    “m fine too”
    “cool”
    “so howz life???”
    “gud”
    “hmmmm”
“aur batao?” ( passing the ball to the otherside)
“hmmm everything as usual.. U temme”
“Nothin much out here.. same usual routine!!”
“so what else???” ( passing the ball to the otherside)
    “nothing much”
    …..
    ..
    ..
And it goes on like this until they give up!!

I am sure many of us (not excluding me too!!!) have such conversation with our friends.
We all suffer from this “aur batao” syndrome.
It just means our life is all screwed up following the usual monotonous routine, wat say?? Probably we need a change in our lives, something which is exciting, something that is adventurous, something which really makes us feel gud and fresh….Correct????
So go out and thoda chill maaro yaaron!!

Me doing my part.. Going to Vizag next week. Will reach there on monday.. yeah!!.. After a good six months, missin hte place so badly!!( Never thought i would!!)

After a week in vizag, i am off to mumbai( Cadbury.. My internship!!).. so its gonna b a fun 2 months ahead!!..

  • >normal Indian Driver

    >This was written onflight on the way to Mumbai

Now me in the flight (GoAir) to Mumbai. Surprisingly enough, they actually started boarding passengers an hour before the scheduled departure, and actually took 10mins earlier than the scheduled time!! Nevertheless the service quotient sux!! Not even a free water bottle to the passengers! I am so thirsty!

The driver Iqbal, turned out an interesting character with quite an interesting background. I started off the talk with the best socializer – smoke. Asked him for matches. And then after a little coaxing, he started off his story. He was driving the rickshaw for the last night for the days to come. He’s got a job somewhere as driver, and would be joining tomorrow. He explains how much of a crisis he is in. HE pays 250 bucks a shift (day or night) to the owner for the vehicle, and then the surmounting fuel charges. On top of that he declares having lost 400 bucks in gambling, just before starting his day( evening in this case, as it was a night shift). He also explains how he preferred driving for the night rather than having alcohol( Royal Stag), which his friend offered to treat him.

He initially declares being a 5th class pass from bihar( Some village near Patna), and how he had to come to delhi at the age of 12 to find some work for him and his dad. He could not concentrate on studies, and used to spend away the money his father gave for the fees. So he eventually got thrown out. Thus started his journey of doing odd jobs. He later declares being just a 1st standard pass (coaxing effet). (“ Sir, ab aapse kya chipaana. Asal mein hum ekvi pass hai”). Inspite of this, the impressing factor was his ability to be able to read English, though he does not understand much of it.

The talk now shifts to curses, souls and witches. He explains how his Sister-in-law was caught by a spirit, and started doing strange things. Got external power, and even got the guts to push his father (her father in law), in the spirited condition. No amount of me trying to tell him that the only spirit that existed was in the form of Royal stag, could not change him from his belief. The talk ended with the arrival of the destination, and we bid a good bye, and all the bst gestures and departed.

    nice interesting chat it was.

  • >ON the way to Mumbai

    >With the class getting over at 11:45 something, I had to rush to the room for the last minute settings. Have not even printed my air tickets yet, thank you Tanuj. Tum nahi hote to mera kya hota? I am sure I totally believe in JIT concept, what else could define my style of doing everything at the last moment? Should reach the airport by 1:45 if not earlier. And it is already 12:45 and me still in the campus. Come on Srini lets start. Well, by the way, Srini is coming to drop me to the station. We take the bike form Ritesh( My wingie!), and there starts the Indo trip.
NO clue of the way to the havai adda, we somehow reach the airport in time( I sometimes wonder if it JIT or SHIT concept that I follow. SHIT – SOME HOW IN TIME). We even lunch at a roadside Dhaba near the airport, and a coke at the port. We meet Mukesh, Mahesh and some other Seniors at the port. They had come to drop Mahesh, who was heading to Bangalore. So same flight till Delhi.

It was quite a boring flight, and being a low cost carrier( JetLite), I did not expect much anyways. Was pleased with the toffees on offer initially. And was totally surprised when they actually started serving snacks! I was actually tempted to ask them if I would be charged for the same. NO! FREE!! SURPRISING!! Way to go JetLite. Oh! Btw, did I say? The flight was late by half an hour. They very well covered up for the inefficiency by all the service in flight.

Landed at Indira Gandhi Airport at Delhi at about 4. Gawd! It is so far from the city. So much towards Gurgaon,( Greater Noida sure needs an Airport, and GMR please allow it to have one without hue and cry!) that I actually had to fork out 175 bucks for the prepaid taxi that I hired to reach CP. This is where I am meeting Nisha.

PVR Plaza, in CP. My meeting place, be it Nisha, sana or anyone. Well, this is one place I have like come to know in and out. As usual, I arrive earlier and am kept waiting. Just move around here and there and Nisha arrives. The whole evening has been dedicated to her, and hopefully it would be a good evening. I am sure.

We just wander aimlessly, where she wants to go the SAME coffee day outlet we visited last time over, and I was more interested to find a PNB atm. Was running out of liquidity big time. Finally found one, and relieved the machine out there of some cash. Even she wanted an ICICI atm, which we eventually located, and she too did the honours of relieving it. Now back to our wandering. We could not locate the said coffee day outlet and decided to settle down at the nearby Kathi kabab outlet in the better interest of our legs, which had started aching by now. And my back too, what with the huge backpack?

At kathi, we went berserk on an ordering spree, and even met akimana who dropped by to say a hi. My friend from Vizag and is currently working in Delhi. Was fun out there, and we spent nearly an hour or so. Now it was 6:30PM and I still had about 2 hrs to do velagiri. Now where to go? Not hungry at all, and wanted some peace of mind for a nice chat.

What better place than Central park right admist CP. Started out for the park. A magnificent park built right above the underground metro station, which is actually visible from the glass sides that the dome is built of. Spent a good 2hrs there in the park. And then started off to our respective destinations. She left by a rickshaw, and me to the airport in another rickshaw, relieving myself a further 120 bucks.

This journey by rickshaw, is well, worth a complete post in itself!!!
